Smile...

I recently saw this picture on Face Book and instantly liked it! It is so very true in so many ways. 

Not being able to speak to the people that live around us can be frustrating at times, for us and them! Sometimes, through those times, I have to remind my face to SMILE! Then an odd thing happens, it affects my heart, then my attitude, then it spreads to those around me.  A smile is a wonderful thing!

Proverbs 17:22a, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:"  

Just try to remember that The Lord may use your smile to help someone else through their day.

Psalm 121

This is my favorite chapter of the Bible. It has an awesome reminder where our help comes from, not ourselves,  not others, but The Lord. Our town, like many others here in Greenland, are surrounded by mountains. They help remind me not to trust in myself but in the One who made them and me. I hope it is as much of a blessing to you as it is to me.

Psalm 121

1.  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 

4. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

My Little Heroes.

They usually always have smiles to share!

They love church

I would like to introduce you to three of my little heroes. As you have probably already guessed they are my kids. They are a blessing to Marty and I and it has been a joy to be called mamma by my kids for 7 years! 


At times it can be challenging raising kids, mainly because they are too much like their mamma and daddy. :) I try to remember that they are just kids! There is really never a dull moment in our house.    So here are my little heroes in action.  


Psalm 127:3a "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:"

They have been a great source of encouragement for me. Whenever I need  smile our a hug they are always willing to share. They are some of the toughest people I know, they traveled most of their lives on deputation, then left their friends and family with not a complaint in the world! They love their Arctic home. They do get homesick every once in a while, but who wouldn't!

He likes Buzz Lightyear, like his Daddy!

Elijah,7 is a goofy little boy, with a really big heart! 

Please remember to pray for your missionaries kids, they go through the same homesickness that the adults do, they miss things that are familiar to them. Just a little card from home makes their day! I'm not just saying this just for our family, look at your missionaries at your church and take time to pray for the kids by name, it can make all the difference in the world!

She might be only 3 feet tall but she has a personality 10 feet high!
She might be small but she can hold her own!
