Summer time in Greenland!

Our summer here in Greenland is really short lived! But it is a really nice break from below 0 weather. This week we finished up our homeschool year. Eli went a little longer than the girls because his books got here latter than theirs did. We are more prepared his next year!  :)   Anyway, back on track, our weather in the summer is mild. We can get in to the 60's but that doesn't happen very often. Normal temperatures for us are  are the upper 40's to the upper 50's.  You wouldn't think that the upper  50's would be warm, but when you have been below 0 for several months, it feels great! Our winter and snow will start again around October and the snow will hang around until June! The farther North you go the longer the winter and the shorter the summer.

Our kids have been wanting to get some water guns that they have seen in the store here. I know what you are thinking, "A water gun fight in The Arctic!!"  Our town has a heated above ground swimming pool, that is always full in the summer!  Our sun here is so intense! So, yes, a water gun fight this week was just what the kids needed. It was a nice warm day on Tuesday, one of the rare 60 degree days, so the kids enjoyed playing with their water guns! :)  I thought I would share a video of the kids playing with their water guns. Hope you enjoy!
