Going outside to play in the wintertime here in Greenland can take a
while to get the kids all ready to go. Sometimes you just need to get
out of the house. Today was that kind of day. We got lots of fresh snow
yesterday, and it was calling the kids names. :) One thing we have
learned from being here in Greenland, is to layer, layer, layer!! The
kids usually wear two pairs of gloves (knit gloves and mittens),
sweaters and a jackets, hats, scarves, and snow bottoms. We try to cover
as much skin as we can! Frostbite and windburn can happen fast!
Even with all the layers the kids only stay out for short periods at a time.
All layered up and ready to go. Eli is already outside. :) |
