Baking is one of my favorite things to do. Eating the baked goodies would be a close second. :) I love the smell of homemade bread baking in the oven. They need to bottle that smell and make a candle out of it. For the past few weeks I have been making bread usually once or twice a week. I make two loaves at a time. I make one loaf into sliced bread and freeze it. The other loaf I leave out and we enjoy it. My favorite recipe to use for my white bread is in my Better Homes and Garden cookbook that I got as a wedding present 10 years ago. :)
When I make dinner rolls or cinnamon rolls I use a different recipe. I got this one from a pastors wife in Missouri. I love it! Here is a link to the refrigerator roll recipe.

Cinnamon rolls from my refrigerator roll recipe |
What are some of your favorite bread recipes? Does anyone have a good yeast roll recipe you and your family enjoy? If so, please share! :)
Oooo...the cinnamon rolls look so good:) I'll have to try them some time!
ReplyDeleteHere is our family's favorite yeast roll recipe:
2 Tbsp. yeast
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. warm water
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
3 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil and sugar; let stand 5 min. Add egg, salt, and enough flour to form soft dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic. (about 3-5 min.) Don't let rise. Divide into 12 pieces; shape into balls. Place 3 in. apart on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rest 10 min. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-12 min. or until golden brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool. Yields: 1 dozen
*Please note...you can make these in a mixer. We usually double the recipe and mix it in our mixer rather than by hand.
I hope this recipe helps:) Have a blessed day!
Thank you for sharing your recipe. :)
