Orientation!

The anticipation of school starting was killing us! So we decided to do a little trial run today. We went over the rules (always a good start)!  We did a small craft and I let the kids look through their books. They are all really excited about starting. I think we may even start full swing tomorrow!  We were surprised to learn that the schools here had orientation today instead of next week like we had thought.  Since we homeschool our kids, we keep our kids inside during the public school hours and usually go later than them.  Of course I took some pictures, so I thought I would share them. I hope you and your family have a wonderful school year!
I gave them smiley face stickers, and told them that thats what I would like to see each day at school!

Elijah is in the 2nd grade!

Eryn Faith is in Kindergarten!

Maryanna is in 1st grade!

Looking through their books!

Eli looking through his favorite subject, Reading!

Maryanna looking through one of her reading books!

Eryn looking very closely at her books.

Maryanna's math facts. I made the little sleeve so she can move her facts around once she learns them.
Sissy and her beautiful smile!

Eryn thinking hard!

Eli still checking out his reading book!

Me and my class! I think they are the best class in the world, but I may be a little biased!

  1. Aww,

I just laughed when seen the look on Elijah's face when they were looking through their books. He looks like he is thinking, "HUH???" lol

Can't wait to see the awesome things you have planned for the year!

    1. HE was kinda surprised because he has two readers and one is over 200 pages and the other one is over 300 pages!! So he was a little overwhelmed at first. Then I explained that those were his only two readers for the whole year! :)

  4. Hi Masey!
This brings back memories of teaching my own children on the Indian reservations that we have lived on. Have fun. Make lots of memories.
